If you've added your MAX365 transit calendar and want to hide or remove it, here's how. The steps are a little different on Apple vs. Google/Android, so we've covered both. Either way, your own appointments stay safe. 😊
On iPhone, iPad, or Mac (Apple Calendar)
Your MAX calendar imports as its own separate calendar called "Max Oracle," so it's easy to hide or remove.
To hide it (and bring it back anytime)
Open the Calendar app
Tap Calendars at the bottom (iPhone/iPad), or look at the list on the left (Mac)
Find Max Oracle and uncheck the box next to it. The transit events disappear instantly
Re-check the box anytime to bring it back
To delete it completely
Tap or hover over the Max Oracle calendar, tap the ⓘ info icon, scroll down, and choose Delete Calendar
On Android or Google Calendar
If you have an Android phone, you're using Google Calendar, so these are the steps for you. Important: Google Calendar changes like these can only be made from a computer browser, not the phone app.
First, check which situation you're in
On a computer, go to calendar.google.com and look at the list of calendars on the left side.
If you see a separate calendar holding the transit events (it may be named "Max Oracle" or similar), you're in the easy case. Just uncheck the box next to it to hide it, or check it again to bring it back.
If you only see your usual calendars (your name, Birthdays, Tasks) and the transits are mixed in with your own events, then they were imported directly into your main calendar. See the next section.
If the transits went into your main calendar
When events are imported into your main calendar, there's no single toggle to hide them, they have to be removed. Here's the important part: don't re-import the file first, or you'll end up with two copies of every event.
Step 1: Remove the transit events that are already there. On a computer at calendar.google.com, use the search box at the top to search for a term that appears in the transit events (for example, Transiting). Open each result and click the trash icon to delete it. If there are a lot of them, email us and we'll help you find the quickest way for your setup.
Step 2 (optional): Re-import into a separate calendar so it's easy to toggle in future.
Click the + next to "Other calendars" → Create new calendar → name it Max Oracle → Create
Go to Settings ⚙️ → Import & Export → Import, choose your MAX .ics file, and under "Add to calendar" select your new Max Oracle calendar → Import
Now you can uncheck "Max Oracle" anytime to hide the transits, and your own appointments stay untouched
Where Do I Find My MAX File?
Your calendar file (it ends in .ics) is available in two places:
In the email we sent when your MAX365 calendar finished generating, as an attachment
Anytime from your Profile in MAX
Save it somewhere easy to find, like your Downloads folder or Desktop.
Re-adding It Later
Your calendar file is always available to download again from your Profile in MAX. Just download the .ics file and re-import it whenever you'd like it back. 🌠
